This got changed at some point, but "Dia" is the correct Japanese naming: アミュレットダイヤ

In Japanese ダイヤ is a common abbreviation of diamond. http://jisho.org/search/ダイヤ

It's like how アパート is the word for apartment - I've never seen someone translate it as "apart".

Unless Dia is the official romanization, but I can't find it on the official sites.

That would reasonable comparison if we were to translate it, but generally proper character names are left untranslated. I'm not sure if I can think of a similar case for another character off the top of my head, but there are cases of English loan abbreviations not "properly" translated to English to match the sound of the original Japanese series titles, such as the "Lovecome" in Yahari Ore no Seishun Lovecome wa Machigatteiru. and "Basuke" in Kuroko no Basuke.

There is also her guardian character Dia, which did not get changed (and is thus inconsistent currently).
