Decapitation tags - differences + implication?

Posted under Tags

I was updating the wikis relating to anything that deals with a head being removed from the body, whether by force or due to a character's ability. I wonder if there could be an implication such as:

decapitation -> severed_head
headless -> severed_head
disembodied_head -> severed_head

I think that there needs to be a clearer distinction between the different headless types. From what I understand from the disembodied_head posts, that involves a character's ability to remove their head which doesn't kill them (primarily with dullahans and Sekibanki); this is the opposite of decapitation where the head is visibly lost against the person's will. I would also assume that decapitation kills the character while those with disembodied heads are still alive. This distinction is rather jumbled with the severed_head and headless tags, regardless if they're alive or dead.

EDIT: Not entirely sure if headless or severed_head should be the implication, so I went with the latter.

We discussed these tags in topic #9477.

decapitation -> severed_head implication shouldn't be done because it's possible for there to be evidence of a decapitation in the image without the head being visible.

disembodied_head -> severed_head implication shouldn't be done because "severed" implies cutting while disembodied does not.

headless -> severed_head should definitely not be done because headless means "a body with no head" and severed_head means the opposite, it refers to a head cut off of a body. It quite common for there to be a body with no head visible, while no matching disembodied head is visible. (And even in the cases where one is, it is not necessarily a "severed" head.)
