Yes, but I prefer the alias method.

Well manually moving things breaks people's subscriptions if anyone happens to have subscribed to the tag, so I tend to prefer aliases too.

Who knows. Probably not a whole lot of people, but maybe this 5-post character is someone's favorite character. And they don't want to check the tag manually since new images get uploaded so rarely (5 posts and all), so subscriptions are the perfect way to find out when there are new posts. (Until someone moves it without creating an alias.)

I'm trying to limit myself to manual changes when something is mistagged (e.g. wrong artist).
