Touhou's Alice Margatroid and minigirl?

A little unclear on this - almost any time there's a tiny girl in the picture with her, it's meant to be Shanghai/Hourai. Wouldn't this then call for the doll tag, rather than minigirl?

Who uses the minigirl tag? Shanghai/Hourai are dolls and should be tagged as such.

If one wasn't aware of the background of the character, they may not be aware that they're dolls since they aren't depicted as a typical doll.

That's why everyone here uses the "?" next to the tag name.

Guess I should have left an example, though searching 'alice_margatroid minigirl' would have provided answers. post #273264, for example.

I guess since there's only 6 of them, I'll go through and change them later.

Exactly what makes tagging the dolls with Alice with the minigirl tag wrong? There is nothing to differentiate them from a minigirl and Alice is frequently shown with more doll like dolls than Hourai and Shanghai. You tag an image loli based on the way the character appears, not on anything else about the character. So why should this be any different? Generally Hourai and Shanghai are depicted identically to what would normally be tagged minigirl, so wouldn't someone who is searching for images of minigirls also be interested in seeing images of Shanghai and Hourai as well?

There is no issue that they can be tagged doll (the doll tag seems to be a mess anyway), but I don't see any legitimate grounds to deny putting the minigirl tag on them.

Also if you must know, I've known before I came to Danbooru that Shanghai and Hourai were dolls, I've tagged them as such, and I've never tagged them minigirl. So me defending it has nothing to do with me having done it.
