You writed : "users without an invite" , then can we permission to see that images.
Maybe you verification users age, or some thing. :]

What I mean is, the policy of limiting it to invited users only is not under review for a change or anything like that. It's not about verifying user ages or anything. So long as there are ads for non-privileged users, there will be a block on loli/shouta. This block does not apply to those with an invite because those users don't get ads.

Um... that was the point. If the reason that loli and shota is hidden is to avoid putting off sponsors, it would make perfect sense to let people who have uploaded loli/shota themselves to be able to see loli/shota images. Sponsors still won't be able to see the loli/shota stuff unless they, for some reason, upload some of their own - in which case they can hardly object when they see more loli and shota on the site.

EDIT: The reason I'm bringing all this up is that I recently uploaded a Nounanka straight shota image and asked for a translation but now I can't see the image any more. I appreciate the choice of hiding loli and shota from sponsors/potential sponsors but it seems like overkill to hide it from people that have uploaded such images themselves, PARTICULARLY when it's a specific image they uploaded themselves that they can no longer see.

I agree, its pretty stupid to block loli pics that you have uploaded yourself. I cannot find any reasoning in that decision. Its not like you cant simply look at your own pic all you want on your harddrive.

...unless its something that is difficult to implement then thats understandable, but I dont see why it would be: if user is member & pic is loli and is uploaded by said member then show pic.

Every decision the server makes, every culling of search results, ever information-gathering operation is another several database queries. Though albert hasn't proven to be miserly with database usage, it still would be a "special case" which sort of disrupts the simplicity of the system, if that makes any sense.

That would be because you keep ignoring all posts that explain it:

Advertisers do not want ads to be shown together with loli pics.

So you can
a) Not see loli pics.
b) Not see ads. For this you need a privileged account.

It's really that simple.

I HAVE read the post pertaining to it. It is YOU that did not read my post clearly. Since with respect to my post, it is apparently a implementation and performance issue NOT a sponsor issue.

The two reasons aren't mutually exclusive.

Right. So why is this an issue?

I didnt mean for it to sound mutually exclusive. I just wanted to emphasize the point that it would be difficult to implement.

The issue is from the person I quoted. That person wanted a translation of his own pic but he cannot see his own pic. I am sure there are other reasons to be able to see your own pic as well.

but anyway that doesn't matter since it would be a hassle to implement that to the server.
