Danbooru 2 Beta

Posted under General

I've uploaded a subset of the current Danbooru database and upgraded the schema on Testbooru. You should be able to log in with your account. Only the first 1000 posts were transferred but almost everything else should be there.

I feel that the current code base is solid enough to deploy, but I'm waiting for some hardware upgrades on the server first. That should happen sometime in January (the floods ruined the market for hard drives).

It seems like Testbooru displays very weird on older versions of web browsers, and other web viewing devices. Right now I'm using the PS3 web browser, and while I know pretty much no one will ever view it on the PS3 browser, Danbooru displays everything fine, while Testbooru mashes all the posts together, and the menus are all over the place.

I remember that any version before the current IE version also messed up everything on Testbooru. I only worry that when a new browser version comes out, it could do the same.

Is this site built off a template? Are you building Testbooru from scratch?

This is how the site looks in Opera version 11.52. The bar on top doesn't close, and the little "Artists - Tags - Pools - More" window seems to be stuck. It just stays there no matter what and there doesn't seem to be a way to close it.

Post pages were still rather broken (same way as in the screenshots I posted before) in Opera 11.52, but updating to 11.60 seems to have fixed it. Fonts are still bigger than around here, and the pagination links (page numbers and Next») are really huge.

On another note, I'm kinda missing the "x notes" link below the pictures.

When I went to reset my password, the link in the email I received incorrectly started with http://li246-243/maintenance/user/password_reset/<snip>
Replacing the "li246-243" with "testbooru.donmai.us" made it work.
Ditto with the link reminding me to change my password after it was reset.

This was with Opera 11.60, hotmail, and XP32
