extra bump and you can at least explain why a doujin of an artist who already have 2 doujins more in danbooru isn't approved. As if those guys were gonna sue you. Most of then would feel very proud by having fans outside Japan.

Because this really isn't the place for doujin uploads.
And "similar things were approved in the past" is a non-starter.

you know there is no other place in the internet in which other people can upload, see and help translate doujins so easily right?
besides, on danbooru rules is permited and the art of a doujin should also be encouraged as other kind of anime style, cause people won't make full coulour doujins if they're making a comic.
It's so difficult to let other people have their way in this? doesn't hurt you in anything and there are some doujins here that you can't find translated in other places.
Have I mentioned already that the notes system is better than the editing? you can get a good quality image without being modified and also translated. Almost as good as subtitles. And anyone can help.
It's a pity that just because you don't want, a lot of danbooru users get discouraged by this. As if this was a one-sided situation... Danbooru is a comunity made by the users and the mods. But you should pay attention to users 'cause they make what this imageboard is. And i'm sure most of the users would like this rule "danbooru isn't a place for doujin upload" to be discarted.
PD: And what is this of being "selective"? i mean, the mods college approve the doujins they want and what they don't want they don't... is danbooru run on the simple basis of what albert likes is what is approved and what he doesn't like is unapproved?
