I was referring to the future. The fact that no artist has been registered on Danbooru under that name does not mean that there are no artists using it elsewhere. I think it is only a matter of time before some user adds an artist under that name, especially since Danbooru’s userbase keeps growing every day.
Also, my point was more about identity. If this artist chose to add three digits after “akayan” in their username, it is likely because they wanted to be more identifiable. I may be wrong, but that is my impression, since, as I mentioned before, “akayan” is a very common name.
