If I had to guess, it's because approvers are a bit more "discerning" about quality when it comes to rating:e but then I looked in the next image in the parent set, and it's like... that's lower quality than the deleted one. So I don't get it.

Having such nebulous disapprovals is really discouraging against uploading. I'm not *trying* to upload low quality items. It's just confusing when I upload a string of 10 images from one artist and then 1 of them, of equal quality to the rest, doesn't get approved. Like what's special about that one that made it worse than the others? Or, like the other user said, uploading is just a race to get contributor status and then you can upload all the low quality slop you want.
