Messages: "Other posts are irrelevant"

At this point, I legitimately don't know what you write in the appeal reason box.

How do you make a case for meeting a quality standard when comparison is not allowed?
Is there really no precedent to point to when help:upload says to search status:active approver:any?
Is it wrong to point out that a user looking at a set of active posts would probably want to see the appealed post as well?
Should we even state when an appeal is for an obvious 1up?

Seems like the appeal reason box is just for pleading or when a post was looked at by 5 approvers.

When I appeal a post just because I think it looks good enough, I usually just leave the reason blank. I occasionally see appeals from others that include subjective statements ("cute," "good art," etc.), whining/complaining, and other unneeded fluff. I highly doubt the Approvers find that useful and I'm sure they probably tune most of that out.

When I do write a reason for appeal, it's typically to point out things like it's a superior version of an approved post (which would in theory be likely to approved by the same Approver), the source field was fixed, or some other important thing they might have missed. Most of the time, though, I don't find it necessary to add anything since the strongest argument I have is that I think the post is good quality, which the Approvers already know by the fact that I appealed it.

Yeah, I always try to write down the reasons why I appeal some posts

You only gave reasons for two of your appeals, and both of them have exactly the kind of content I suggested avoiding. How is "This should not be deleted," or "Its decent, its also high quality" useful to Approvers?

But "other posts are irrelevant," right?

Regardless.
If the goal is to get the same approver's attention, perhaps we should call them out by name in our appeals?

I'm curious as to which approvers have been the least consistent here
status:active parent:deleted approver:any

Yes, when they're completely different images. But if we're talking about an objectively superior version of an image that was already approved, such as having a higher (non-upscaled) resolution or fewer jpeg artifacts, then it should in theory also be approvable (at least by the one that approved the original).

Regardless.

No. That would be a very bad idea, almost as bad as DMailing them directly. Getting the attention of specific Approvers should not be your goal.

Some Approvers comb through deleted posts. If your post is good, it is likely to be approved eventually. If your appeal fails, the best thing to do is wait.

Yeah, I should be more specific about that
