I'm an Artist - Should I Upload My Stuff?

Posted under General

Pretty simple - I'm an Artist. But I'm wondering if there's any rules or stigma on putting my work on here myself? At the very least, I feel like some of my most recent works are good enough to meet the general quality requirements. Honestly, been having a hard time finding a good place to post my works for easy collation, as I do SFW and NSFW stuff and a lot of places have gotten... real restrictive with NSFW stuff. That, or they're filled with AI.

Part of me wants to wait, and let my stuff end up here naturally on its own one day - at least hopefully. But it's been pointed out to me I don't really have a place to make finding my works easy, from my friends. I can't say everything I've done is quality - but within the last few months, I think at least some of my stuff is good enough to pass muster?

Usually, I post to Hentai Foundry and Bluesky, with some of my more SFW stuff on Ko Fi.

But before I try and upload my stuff, I wanted to know if there's any sort of stigma against doing so. Should I be doing it myself, or waiting for someone else to do it? I'll be honest, I've also never uploaded anything here and have no idea about the tagging process either. I'm also not sure if my quality is good enough, so let me know if I should wait before trying.

Have a couple examples of some of my more recent work from the last few months. One was a Harley Quinn, other is a Commission from an acquaintance.

There's no rules against self-upoading, they are just discouraged because artists are biased towards their own work and are not the best judge of quality. I took a quick glance at your Bluesky account and I think your art is decent enough for Danbooru. I encourage you to read help:upload and howto:tag before uploading.

I think sites like Twitter and Pixiv are good places to post your art in my opinion. You could also try posting on reddit, but I don't know which subreddits are good to post on.

I wasn't sure because I figured there'd be something like that! As for Pixiv, I've considered it. Twitter... I refuse to touch at this point. Thanks for the feedback!
