There has been no news since the first couple of pages, and there probably won't be for some time.
Considering how many people are still asking, I think it's likely that a site-wide announcement (like the Platinum raffles or post GETs) will be made if there's any significant developments.
I know this is a shot in the dark, but if I were to upload around 1 book per week, how long until I would potentially get mentioned for a builder thingy?
Well you have to get them approved too, you can't just dump random unsourced books the way you're thinking of doing it, and you especially can't be uploading licensed manga. Read the upload rules if you're going to try and get promoted to builder through uploading.
I've reached the milestone of 500 posts, and I'll continue posting until I become a builder. I'm wondering how long this period will likely take.
No one but admins can give you an exact answer, but in my view you're doing great.
Just continue as usual, the odds are very likely in your favor given your current ratio and upload count, that you will be promoted in the next wave.

You should be a bit stricter with ratings for things like bikinis. Even if the image doesn't look very suggestive, girls with a significant amount of skin exposed like with standard bikinis (post #10947099) should still be rated at least Sensitive. Other than that, you seem to be doing okay.

After several days of intense posting, I suddenly felt completely exhausted after taking a break. Don't know if stopping posting now will affect my promotion or not.

Of course you can take breaks from uploading, that won't affect your promotion chances.

Per nnt's promotion candidate tracker, you only need 50 uploads every 2 months to stay on the tracker. You uploaded over 400 posts in the last two weeks alone, so you could afford to take a break for as long as a couple months or reduce your upload rate to as little as one per day to mitigate burnout.
Even if you don't stay on the tracker, the dashboard is only meant for ease-of-viewing for mods. Your promotion chances don't necessarily go down just because you take a break for a while, you just might not be noticed as quickly if someone doesn't point you out. Promotions are admin/mod discretion, so it's up to their own criteria.
It's better that you pace yourself. Don't take it as a race or a job because then it's only going to be more frustrating when nothing is happening. Back when I didn't have unrestricted uploads, I would have a lot of frustration outbursts and it chalked up to trying to get the promotion too fast without taking care of my quality control. The two months before I finally did it, I took things much slower and it worked out. Though of course go wild if you can handle both speed and quality.
