You've been trying to log into that account with multiple different IPs, your vpn is definitely on.
Okay, so I finally logged into this account at last! I even got the mobile app able to log me in as well. I'll be using this account from now on now that I was able to finally log back into it.
Apologize if this is a little off topic - is there a good person to DM to recover an account? It's a gold account of mine I've lost access to, and keep meaning to ask about it. Been making edits in the meantime :D

So after 4 years, the only way to view the whole site is to take up an unpaying job for 1 week to over a month. Or gambling.
I imagine that a lack of revenue the owners can generate from the website may have something to do with it, less incentive to put more resources toward it in improving the user experience while making it feel like an exclusivity club for a small number of like-minded individuals with similar taste in what is curated. It makes one wond r how much longer the site will go on before advertisements are introduced to it like other booru derivatives and other sorts of additions of that like or just gets shut down in the end.
Hey so I was trying to get a gold account for a while (about 3 months) and I thought It would just take a while for whatever problem they had to get fixed but its still not allowing me to buy gold.
Is there any update on how long this would take to fix? I know i can just try to be a builder but I don't have the time for that.

There's no update at the moment. The only ways to get promoted right now are getting to builder or winning the occasional platinum raffle.

Ok thanks, out of curiosity how do i become a builder would that just require me to upload images to the site, I looked at some of the old conversations and they mentioned fixing images tags but when I looked at even the most recent images they all have the correct tags and nothing to fix.
I also am curious on what kind of images they would want me to post here, would they want me to go through twitter and find a bunch of obscure art from small artists or would they only want me to post something that I can get explicit permission to repost.

There's actually a lot of posts out there that have incorrect or missing tags, see posts under tagme for example. You can also look through some searches in help:tasks and help:commentary searches and help fix them.

You don't need explicit permission to post anything, all that matters is if the art you're posting is good enough quality and is sourced properly. To get a good idea of what kind of posts are considered good quality, I suggest looking at approver:any status:active, which shows all posts that have been approved. If you're not able to find high-quality art yourself, there's also topic #24186, where approvers post images and artists that they'll approve.

Alright thank you! You were a huge help. I guess I was over thinking about uploading images, because I managed to upload one just now so I was just over complicating things for myself, now I just have one more question.
looking at the other builders I see they have about 1000 posts or more is there a set amount of content I need to post and change before I'm able to get the builder role? I can upload any image I see on pixiv and twitter (that not a reupload) but even then since I only just started this it will only let me upload very few images at a time so I fear it might take a few months or even a year or two to get the builder role. I also am curious if once i get the builder role would i need to maintain the site and constantly post to keep that role?

There's no exact number, but I believe the general criteria to get promoted for uploading is to have about 500–700 posts, while maintaining a low amount of deletions, around 5% or less.

There is no set amount. The mods and admins (usually the admins) will look at both the quality and quantity of your contributions to make sure you can be trusted with the role. But I'd say a few hundred is a safe number to shoot for provided you tag things correctly and thoroughly. But just know it's impossible to give a definite answer because of how complex evaluating users can be.

Your max upload limit will only be 5 for the first hour. After that, it will go up to 15 and will gradually increase from there as more of your posts are approved. The initial limit of 5 is to defend against trolls spamming low quality and/or off-topic content.
I also am curious if once i get the builder role would i need to maintain the site and constantly post to keep that role?
No. Once you have Builder, you have it forever unless you do something really stupid and get demoted. Same for Contributor status if you ever want to try going for that.
can you be your own artist and post your stuff? I'm a fairly new artist and I want access to the more sensitive stuff for reference.
Yes self-uploading is perfectly acceptable (as long as you tag it as such). Keep in mind though that the same quality standards will be applied as everywhere else. The reason it's slightly discouraged is because often the artist themself has a biased view on the quality of the art, and the criticism you get can be quite harsh. I have no idea how good your art specifically is, so I can't say what you should expect, but just be aware of these risks.
To anyone who wants to farm some tag edits for Builder, just know that the Gregor's Cockroach tag is currently underpopulated and missing a lot of posts, so if you want to go through all the images of Gregor that have that cockroach in them and add that tag, I think that would be a great boon to your efforts.
I am working towards becoming a contributor (or a builder? I don't know the difference.) by uploading a significant number of images. As a non-native English speaker, I’m concerned that my tagging skills might not be up to par, and I may not be able to contribute much beyond the uploads themselves.
If consistent uploading alone is sufficient to earn contributor status, or are there specific areas (based on my 300+ uploads so far) where I should improve?
I used Google Translate and Gemini to edit this reply, so I apologize in advance for any inappropriate expressions, a Gold+ account is all I want.
