Do people think self photo would be a useful meta tag?
For example if you took a picture of someone else's art then uploaded it, and this someone never uploaded it online themselves, would there be a benefit to indicate the upload was a self photo to explain the non web sourcing?
+1 it's analogous to commissioner upload and explains/justifies the non-web source.
The concept is good but I'm not sure the granularity is needed. Alongside this, we'd also have commissioner upload, self-scan, self-datamine, probably some more I missed. With the exception of self-upload, they're all just saying the uploader was involved in making the image accessible, so a single tag to cover them all might be enough.
I want the granularity for commissioner upload at minimum, since its a tag I actually do get utility out of. I can also think of use cases for the other searches as well, the granularity definitely can matter. Uploader's_photograph or whatever we call it can be searched up to find images you want to check out artist social media for if there is a better version.

If there is a tag to broadly indicate datamines in general then I'm fine with merging them all and using uploader sourced or whatever you come up with.
