Autocomplete

I must have missed the thread or post, but was autocomplete on tag entry taken out? Or was something changed?

All of a sudden it just stopped showing up for me.

There've been no special autocomplete on tag edit entry ever since danbooru v. <very low number>, way before it got popular. So whatever autocomplete you have, it must be your browser's function. That is not to say danbooru can't break it, but it wouldn't be "taken out", just broken by some unrelated change.

Probably you had the DanbooruUp extension which enables autocomplete in some areas (or so I think)

Interesting, you're right, I had danboorup installed on my computer without even knowing, haha.

Yeah, I notice this when I get autocomplete even over at moe.imouto.org. I was confused at first because it was bringing up tags m.i.e. doesn't use, or name spellings they don't use.

My only problem with the autocomplete appearing outside of danbooruup is that it's a bit of a picky pain in the ass. If I go into a tag box and try to edit, it keeps throwing suggestions at me and I wind up entering the wrong tags because hitting left or right sets that tag at the end.

It'd be good if it worked like the extension popup where you have to hit down first to select, so you only pick from the list when you absolutely want to.

Check that you have the latest version and that the enable tag autocomplete options are ticked, that you are using the correct update URL (changed to http://miezaru.donmai.us/tag/index.xml not that long ago) and if you have updated to the recent 0.3.2 version of the extension it might be worth clicking the "update now" buttons.

I installed the extension on a new computer, but autocomplete doesn't seem to be working in anything at all except for the extension popup itself. I made sure that both of the autocomplete options were checked, but still nothing...

You need to make sure that whatever URL you are using for the site is on the sites list, e.g. if you entered the danbooru URL in the plugin but have bookmarked miezaru then the autocomplete will not work. Just enter both to be safe:

http://miezaru.donmai.us/post/create.xml
http://danbooru.donmai.us/post/create.xml

That's weird, even after putting both sites in I still don't get any suggestions to come up. Oh well, it was nice to have them but not like I can't go without them. It's most useful when uploading, so I'm fine as long as that works.

The URL http://miezaru.donmai.us/tag/index.xml no longer works. It says there are no elements found.
