There are some more post I feel like absolutely should have been approved, but weren't, but those are somewhat old and spaced over time. All these came in around the same time recently and collectively set me back a ton.

And now I would like to ask for some feedback concerning why these posts and their children posts were not approved? I presume the first one was due to the l*l* and inseki tags, but the second one is a mystery to me.

It doesn't make sense to leave an inferior version of a post active if the superior one is deleted. Though if the flagger thought the quality was good, they likely would've appealed yours instead.
The same thing happened to me once before I became a Contributor when I found a hard-translated comic (post #5087010) and posted the original version (post #6509149). Mine didn't get approved, so the other post also ended up getting deleted.

However,while the parent post was already approved and other posts that came later than post #10771863 were also approved. post #10771863 was still pending approval unfortunately. One factor is probably because you made post #10771863 the child instead of the parent. It should have been the other way around (this was already fixed for you) because it has a higher resolution than post #10572501. As stated in help:post_relationships, resolution is usually prioritized over image quality. Setting post #10771863 as the child makes it look like a duplicate post, thus making it unlikely to be approved.

but this one got approved: post #10757941?
Both are English alternate language versions of posts made by the original artist.
Along with that the deleted post is identical (besides language) to a post that was already approved (post #10758603).
I thought that alternate language versions of posts should be uploaded if they are made by the artist themselves, is that wrong?

Why are these not approved?, other works by the artist got them
Wheelerfortune did a pretty good job with the Touhou X Sonic art and his Touhou ecchi. How come the Pekora one is the only one to get accepted and not the Touhou ones?
You should consider before rejecting. The new ones are pending and I think he did better in the other pending art of his.
