it's quite frustrating to read "you need gold account to view" while browsing through the site ... just to see, that this so called "gold account" doesn't even exist, when you try clicking the upgrade button ...

at this point, couldn't you just scrap this entire gold-wall entirely [or at least make it clear (not just to the user, but also to the artists) that you don't want people to view the content ...

They're not just blocking this content for the sake of blocking it. There are factors beyond their control that they need to take into account.

Also, it has been stated many times that there are other ways to view the content. You can get Builder (which is better than Gold) with just a few months of regular contribution. And if you can't put in the time, you can try your luck with the Platinum raffles held every couple of months, which were implemented specifically because Gold is no longer available.

Whats the fastest way to get a builder account? What should I upload? I'm willing to hear other user's experiences. It sucks not being able to see shota/loli

Read the thread. Many users have already posted good ways to obtain Builder.

For uploads, browse through status:active approver:any. The status:active part of the search only takes up one tag, so you can add another like a copyright tag or an art style tag if you're interested in uploading specific content.

You can also remove approver:any if you want to free up your second tag, but your search will include uploads from Contributors and higher, who are allowed to skip the mod queue.

That does not answer why they still have that advertisement up there all things considered. Is it to keep people hoping that a solution will eventually come along or that they'll stay long enough to want to become a builder or otherwise contribute to the site even if they remain a basic member all the same with no intention of actually reinstating a similar system if not the original one? What about those who paid for a gold membership and ended up downgraded because of the payment processor problems but aren't refunded for the trouble? I remember making d lifetime payment only to lose that and now have to play roulette in uploads or tag changes/additions with someone that is hopefully active enough on the site to get back some semblance of something that was a no strings attached transaction beyond my control.

I'll try however I can to get builder to not be locked out of content and to pitch in here and there since this site does not flag you down with advertisements (yet), still, but complete transparency and not skipping into devil-may-care management for those actually still genuinely invested in it is paramount.

I don't know what happened in your specific case, but if a user paid for Gold while it was still available, then they should still have it unless they got promoted to a higher rank later. There's also no record of your account being upgraded or downgraded.

I wish I still had the receipt for it, but it is what it is. I'll just have to try for builder however I can, then.

This isn't the place to be asking things like that, but it's probably post #5264041. You can't view the image since it has the loli tag, but you can still see who uploaded it.

When logging in, and if you get a "You Can't Log in Through a proxy without 2FA enabled, does that mean the password and username/email are correct but that that 2FA method is keeping you from logging in? I promise there is a good reason for this.

Dude it's a literal screenshot of the anime. You could find this gif from a generic piracy site. It's not some rare or lost media.

It's not because I can't find it anywhere else but because I'm the same user who uploaded it before I lost access to that account amd mistakenly believed it was this one that had a gold account and not that one, hence my asking of the 2FA thing for logging in which I admit is suspicious to ask about but wanted to know if that was the case for a correct username/email address and password.

I used two different password combinations from memory for both the username and email address which I also know but no longer have access to myself, one combination came up with the "Incorrect Password" prompt while the other one said I couldn't log in through a proxy without 2FA enabled which i presume is the new authentication method that wasn't around when I last had that account. If you coild answer the question about the 2FA matter, I would greatly appreciate it. If you don't believe me, I get it, trust me, I do. I would still like to know just in case in any event.

That is my personal issue as well. I am certain the password and username and email are correct, but the 2FA would not let me log into that other account for some reason.

Just turn off your VPN and log in, then turn on 2fa and turn your VPN back on.

My VPN isn't on, and where do I turn that on? I have Proton VPN. Would a step-by-step be available somewhere? Cloudflare pops up, guves me a checkbox to click, green check mark, then I get that "No login with proxies without 2FA" prompt.

You've been trying to log into that account with multiple different IPs, your vpn is definitely on.

It does that even without VPN on and was the first method I tried since I hadn't known what 2FA stood for at first.
