Trouble viewing picture when saved into computer

Do ya guys have trouble too viewing this picture when saved into your computer?

Everytime I try to view the picture in my PC with "windows photo gallery" program it looks like this : /

but it works fine when I open it with IE or other picture viewing programs.

Funny you should mention this, I've been seeing this a lot lately too. I just open it up in firefox and re dl it there.

I've never used that program (nor do I see the need for it since Windows Picture and Fax Viewer works like a charm) but I will give some input. It could be the algorithm used to read the picture.

I remember reading about something like this when Vista first came out. IIRC it's about Windows Photo Gallery being unable to properly display .jpeg images that have some parameter set to 0 or smth. Other image viewers ignore that parameter, which is why they have no problems displaying these images.

Anyway, I'm not an expert in this kind of stuff, but I think the problem isn't with the pic, it's with the program.

phew, i was worried it was the picture that was corrupted at first,

it does make logical sense if it's stupid microsoft's fault for the picture reading error, lol.
