animation <-> single image
finished artwork <-> unfinished sketches
colored artwork <-> monochrome
proper background <-> simple background
sfw <-> nsfw
typical anime illustration <-> pixel art, chibi, western style, 3d, etc.
girls <-> male characters only

i think there are around 100 approvers and stuff gets seen by 10 approvers usually. some approvers approve 1000s of posts per month while others approve only a few dozen per month. so even if there is 1 approver in 100 that would approve your uploads, chances are you won't get it approved unless it's good enough for at least 10% of the approvers to approve it. if a post is really good, then most approvers would approve it so it can get approved the first time an approver sees it. but if it's not very good it can stay in modqueue for 3 days without an approval. you can appeal it and maybe the next time you get a different set of 10 approvers to see it and maybe one of them will approve it, but that costs 3 slots so it's easier to just upload 3 higher quality images instead.

This thread isn't for you to spew random nonsense about how people approve. "some approvers may say this isn't true" but you certainly know best? Just stop.

Nobody on this website likes me for some reason, and I’ve been having horrible luck with my latest post being approved and translated recently.

Is it because I always sound annoying to you guys?

it's pixel art and people with higher posting privileges upload unfinished sketches all the time.

I can't quite put a finger on it but proportions look off. Also the skirt/bottom of the dress looks distractingly flat compared to the rest of the outfit.

Bad hand, personally don't like the face. Also it seems like she's both proportionally leaning forward and not at the same time.

[I'm not an approver.] I like literally all your approved posts, but the deleted ones are very rough sketches, low res, and/or an amateur style. Though the Fate sketches are professional, they're still a far cry from the sketches that usually get approved, and they're dialogue-heavy rather than cute/cool/sexy pinups. Even the author of spy x family, endou tatsuya has 6 deleted posts, presumably because they're a combination of sketchy and uninteresting, even though there's some humour aspect.

Re: translation, there are 500 untranslated posts uploaded every day, so I would expect most uploads to go untranslated unless you do it yourself, even if you ask. Especially as these are (1) deleted, and (2) have no favourites, so you're pretty much the only user that would get value out of the translation. Just read it with some machine translator like Google Gemini, Lens, or Translate; it's only like 20 characters, so you could even handwrite the kanji into the search box.

Honestly I don't think you should be getting personal, and in terms of approving, I think it's just a horrible time (in terms of activity) at this moment. Hell, sometimes I feel as if it's a combination of both timing & approver's 'tastes' which makes it feel almost like a lottery. But oh well, I don't really let it get to me. (There's always manually re-approving at a future date as well I suppose)
Also unpopular opinion but I really think that the setting to "view deleted posts" on the site should be on by default (as well as being seen in pools), there might be more who see & appeal it and I mean, it is an image archive afterall
