I'm kind of thinking that lamppost might be the better choice for the main tag. It might be worthwhile to use the tag without street in the name, since while commonly associated with streets, the object in question is not limited to being used on streets. Additionally it has the benefit of further distancing it's name from traffic_light, though I'm not sure how often taggers might incorrectly tag them. Only one image under streetlight seems to have been mistagged (post #404001).
I didn't just type it as lamppost because that was that tag listed, I actually bothered to double check it with several other sources before I had hit post. All the sources listed here have it as one word:
Well, single word on lamppost seems to be the correct form then. FWIW, I think that form was the only one that showed up in the tag listing currently. I searched all tags (including empty ones), and the only one that hasn't been created at all from my initial post is street_lights (just added it for consistency)
