Hi, the last time I created character tag it was edited by someone from general tag into character tag somehow, so I thought mods are working with that. Recently I created another one https://danbooru.donmai.us/posts?tags=taikyoku for first art of this character there (post #10282869), but it got removed. I suppose it was an error and would like to know if I can modify tag somehow?

Hey I changed Taikyoku to a character tag. You just have to add char: in front of the tag to change it to a character tag (more details here in the wiki).

For future reference, you can create a new character tag by typing "char:" in front of the new tag. That can also be done in front of a tag in order to change its category to character.
That way you won't have to rely on other users to change it for you, and other users won't accidentally delete it thinking it's a typo.

Note that as a Member-level user, you can only change the category of tags with less than 50 posts. This shouldn't be a problem if you change it early, but if you forget and tag a character in a lot of posts that didn't have one before (like an OC), then you'll need to get a Builder or higher to change it for you (their limit is 1,000) or submit a BUR.
