The quality is consistent with the artist's other approved works (and subjectively looks pretty nice as far as a one-hour drawing challenge entry goes), and was only reviewed by 9 approvers; appealed, and only got reviewed by 11 approvers.
Any pointers on why it was so unpopular among similar artworks in the same set by the same artist?

They used to pass the review process smoothly, but starting three days ago, many artworks of the same quality as before suddenly stopped being approved.
Good artwork and 3 other variant were successfully appealed.
I was going to combine the current and previous batch of failed appeals into a single post but I need to close these tabs so I'll just make a separate post when these current appeals expire instead.

Nothing wrong with the source. The message means no approver liked the post enough to approve it.
