Christmas flood

Posted under General

Here's a question. I've been collecting Christmas-themed art since december started, however I don't want to post them yet since it's kinda early. Would it be fun to flood the site with this stuff near Christmas time or should I upload a few per day?

(Also is it just me or does the forum no longer turn bold when there are new posts? I thought that was pretty useful...)

I think that depends whether the images are quality or not.
Nobody would have a problem with a quality flood :3
Post some today and tomorrow, and you flood when it's christmas time :)

Hm.. it still becomes bold for me..

There's a cookie called forum_updated, i believe it's related to that.

For me it seems to oscillate between bold and normal. In the comments list it's always normal. In the post list it's sometimes one or the other, and in the post view it's bold.

Obviously they are quality images, I was just wondering if flooding them would be frowned upon regardless of that. It's not a massive amount--according to what I found, all of Japan drew about 15 decent christmas-related images this year. :D

I do have cookies enabled for danbooru and miezaru both. I'm seeing the same thing you guys are seeing, occasional bold but most of the time non-bold. Strange stuff...

I wouldn't mind a flood of xmas images.. I'm kind of looking for some to grab characters from andmake a xmas wallpaper with..

As for the cookie, i think it has to do with refreshing the top frame where the "My Account - Posts - Comments - ECT" are. If I just keep clicking next the Forum link wasn't getting bold, but when I clicked my account and the whole page refreshed it was bold... Maybe has to do something with that.

Wait. It'd be nice to have at least one place that does Christmas-y stuff around, well, Christmas.

That's more or less what I've been holding out for. Also, it's possible that more good images will be posted/drawn in this time... But like I said it will be like a dozen or more images in one go, I just wasn't sure if that would be offensively flood...ish.

I really don't think it matters when you do it. I've uploaded Christmas images (i.e. santa_outfit stuff) in, like, May, because I happened to see it then.

Just do whatever. It'll get looked at by the same standards as any other image.

It's different. We're talking about a seasonal flood here, and I really long for days when Christmas season didn't start in October. Therefore a bit of self-restraint and waiting until later does matter.

With the amount of stuff that gets posted daily, it'll be there and gone before you even know it existed.

I *loathe* Christmas, but I see no reason why it should matter in the least. He said he has like 15 images... not even a drop in the bucket, not even at twice that.
