How about you just put rating:e, rating:q and rating:s on your blacklist so that you can leave safe mode off?

In my browser (firefox) for some reason it flashes the blacklisted posts on the home page for a second before loading the actual page. I would rather not be "jumpscared" by random explicit content, although this is more likely just a bug.
Also, it doesn't filter out explicit posts from the AI tagging section whereas safemode does.

I'm new so there are probably a billion easier ways to do this. Thank you very much for the fast reply.

As you sometimes intentionally switch off safe mode, this fix for the flashing blacklisted images might interest you: forum #132142

Hi,
It would be really nice to have a toggle safe mode button on the home screen or nav bar. It is a bit tedious to keep having to enter and exit settings over & over just to tag an image or view something properly.

@209 I created a bookmarklet on forum #220485 which can be used to turn safe mode on and off, as another alternative to what kittey suggested.

I know I'm not going to be overly popular in this statement but it's been something on my mind ever since I posted here last month:
I'm kinda tired of "oh, here's the userscript for that" being the answer to so many questions and concerns.

On multiple occasions I've asked for help with something and been told "but that's already something you can do" and when asking about what they mean, the person trying to help didn't even realize that their site looks and functions almost as a different site altogether due to the mass of userscripts they're using. Offloading simple site functionality to userscripts is a hackneyed non-solution that causes a wide swathe of users - builders and above included - to end up left behind.

I know things take time to get fixed, but sometimes it feels like userscripts are enabling fixes to be ignored. Having to direct people to a half-decade old discussion about the same problem for a userscript or having a simple site function like a dark mode toggle being left to sit at the back of a forum post is... weird.

Anyway, that's enough of my soapbox that will get ignored by most and likely ridiculed by some. Either way, it has been nearly a month so I might as well ask again:
Are there any plans being in the works to allow users to clean up their "My Uploads" section, especially the unposted ones? Ideally, one that isn't a userscript buried in the void of the forum?

To be honest, that's kind of insulting to those of us that take all of the time and effort to make those userscripts. But please, do carry on.

The intention is not to insult or belittle your contribution. It's an obviously useful aspect and I use and love the eventlistener.

An analogy would be like getting into a video game, wondering if there's a way to do a thing, and being told to install a mod to allow it. Wouldn't it be nice if that thing was part of the game from the start? Is it insulting to the mod maker to say that? Would it be an insult to the mod maker to patch in functionality similar to or directly aping the mod?

I think not. For example, Project Zomboid straight up hires some of their prolific modders as freelancers to fully implement their mods into the game's base code, especially when they mod in a planned feature.

All I'm saying is that I really like what y'all do and want people to be able to open the site and just have those things already there rather than yet another instance of someone having to direct a new user to a 5-year-old post. How fuckin' sexy would it be if we had a second inbox for the eventlistener or something?

Whenever I click on a tag in autocomplete, it directly searches that tag instead of leaving it in the query. It even happens when editing. Anyone else having this problem?

It works normally for me using the desktop site on mobile chrome.

More details are needed. Phone or desktop? Which browser?

Not sure if this is the right place to post it, but recently on mobile when typing a tag I found that when clicking on the suggestions that pop up results in that tag being searched. This isn’t too big of an issue when doing normal searches since I can then add on other tags that I am searching for but when tagging this is a rather annoying hindrance. I’m not sure why it started happening recently.

Edit for clarity: I was using Chrome on my phone

I actually noticed this last night (on laptop, though). I also find it quite annoying when trying to add the tags to an image I'm uploading. I had to redo one list of tags for an upload three times because of it.

Please post which browser you’re using to help evazion narrow it down. No matter what I try, I can’t reproduce it with Firefox 91.11.0esr on desktop.

For me the bug is on desktop with safari, mobile safari works fine. However if I hover on the suggestion first, without clicking, and press "enter", it works just like the old "click" and will not search the tag. I just need to remember to do it...

Tab complete also seems to work as a workaround for now as well.

Noticed that if you attempt a search for sakana~ (meme) (should probably have a lycoreco qualifier instead of the meme qualifier...) it's buried under a bunch of artist tags for 'sakana' that all have more posts

maybe not a problem, but maybe better if being closer to an exact match helps?
maybe the tag doesn't need the tilde either and that would help
not a big deal

Can there be a feature to see how many approvers deny your post approval before it gets deleted? So that I don't bother to get my hopes up for approval on a general-sensitive post, only to be disappointed after a 3 day wait? (I know, I'm very cynical)

Most approvers either approve a post while it’s fresh or right before it’s about to get deleted, depending on whether they check the top or bottom of the queue. Seeing the disapprovals in the middle of the 3-day period would therefore be pointless because the approvers who check the bottom of the queue haven’t even gotten to the post yet.

This is possible already but a bit cumbersome, you can enter your post ID in https://danbooru.donmai.us/post_disapprovals and count the entries. There's a new post events page in the works, it's not yet deployed but can be viewed on betabooru: https://betabooru.donmai.us/posts/5696509/events. Once it's deployed you'll be able to view disapprovals by clicking on History -> Moderation in the sidebar.
