Well the first part is monyu but the second seems ambiguous. Do you have a link to their homepage or something else? Context is usually essential to clearing these up, especially URLs and such.

Ah, there's a comma between もにゅ and 尼秋. So it's two different names. Either two different people running the site (which the main page seems to indicate) or two different names a single artist goes by.

Either way, monyu is open so go with that, I guess.

pixiv_(230434) has the pixiv username "嘎哦", which converts to "gao"(gae?) using the above tool. Not sure how right that is, and there's a separate artist called gaou anyway... Filename says "relax861430".

And for changing names, is it enough to change the tags and the name listed in the artist entry?

It's Chinese, yeah, and should probably be transliterated as "ga-o", since "gao" is one syllable in hanyu pinyin. Don't know much about conventions for Chinese, though.

I'm not sure what to do with the artist of these posts: source:*ufreyr*. The blog URL includes "Marchcat", but the name on the blog is 三月猫; "Sangatsu Neko" which literally means March Cat, but if it was read as a name it would be Mitsuki Neko. To further confuse things, their pixiv login name is ufreyr.

They may well be playing with their real name for the nickname, but barring any evidence I think sangatsu_neko is fair to use as a tag.

Actually, if the upload thing tells me that the artist doesn't exist, it REALLY doesn't exist in the database, right?

(like, wasn't the Japanese name suppose to be in the ALIAS field or something?)

Because, I'd feel bad if I had to keep coming back in here to request for artist names when they might actually already be in the database.
