Danbooru 2 Issues Topic

Regarding post #2568748 and another flagged post by the same user:
I tried the "Similar" function and like I said in the comment section, there is no sign for the uploader that this is a duplicate and for me, there is such a huge amount of posts, I can't remember or recognize every post I've approved before, especially if there is no parent relationship.

So my intention is to ask if there is a way to improve the "Similar" function, because it isn't the first time this has happened and at the end, there is a deleted post more for the uploader (I also have some of those posts where the Similar function didn't show me anything).

IQDB's more effective than Danbooru's similar function in most cases. Perhaps @piespy can help here?

It would be great. Because there are so many images that get uploaded but deleted, because of a non-working Similar function. But the quality per se is there.

I don't know what went wrong, but I checked the history for a pool I created the other day, and it created a new version for almost every update to the pool, even though they all occurred within a minute of each other and so the changes should have been merged.

Pool 11846 history

The only thing I can think of that could cause this is your IP address changing (having the same IP is one of the conditions to merge versions). But that seems highly unlikely so I don't know.

I'd just like to point out the following excellent image tool at Saucenao.

http://saucenao.com/tools/

There's support for both Firefox and Chrome, and it includes image searches to IQDB, SauceNao, Google Images and more...

I'd like to vouch for the excellency that is SauceNAO although I typically rel on IQDB for finding if an image has been posted to a booru. It's an indispensable tool for any booru editor and having using the premium features for nearly a year I highly recommend them. The owner of the site is flexible and easy to get in touch as well. I contribute on a monthly basis via Patreon to support my premium subscription.

Which always surprised me, since danbooru literally uses its own IQDB server. Maybe cutoff similarity percent is too high or something?

The similarity cutoff is 80% (defined here) but the similarity for the posts in question is 90%.

It looks like what happened was albert moved the IQDB service to another server, but in doing so lowered the cutoff for the number of matches to return from 3 to 1. I think that's what broke it from returning all the matches.

Is it intended for blacklist-taged gifs/webm/etc. to play before your blacklist tag is clicked to make the image visible?

I had quite a jump when I was flipping through my results and a video_with_sound webm suddenly was blaring over my speakers with no image visible.

This problem doesn't seem to exist with flash; these only start loading once I clicked to cancel the blacklist hiding.

No, this is a bug. Submitted a fix for it.

Great, thanks.

I can't seem to edit posts right now. the 'favorite' and 'unfavorite' button are also both showing at the same time, too. This happens in both sonohara and danbooru. Am I just having connection problems?

Edit: Well this is embarassing, I just figured out what happened. My browser disabled scripts. No wonder nothing worked. Never mind this.

Am I the only one who experienced "Connection reset" everytime I upload things with bookmarklet?

Gonna have to give us more details, I haven't seen this myself.

Actually, I've experienced two weird things about bookmarklet.

1) When you uploading a picture, sometimes it turns into "Connection reset" after a while. However, the pic is still uploaded/processed when you check the upload queue.

2) The same situation like above, but instead of "Connection reset" you got "This post is a duplicate". However, if you check the said post, it's actually uploaded by you. It's as if when in the middle of uploading, the uploading process becomes doubled/duplicated for some reason, where first "process" got resolved while the second "process" is resolved but deemed as duplicate.

Ah yes, I can't remember experiencing #1, but I have experienced #2 before...

Where do you see this error? Sometimes I see errors inside the fetch source data box, but that only affects fetching the translated tags, not the actual upload.
