Touhou character groups by game

At the moment, specific Touhou games do not have their own tags and it would be nice to keep it that way as it would be a huge mess (and adding the tags to 40000 images would be hopeless), but would it be problematic to create some sort of tag for instances when bosses from a certain game and only from that game appear in an image? And not just one or two, but the whole cast?

Take post #306787 (which, incidentally is tagged mountain_of_faith) or post #358917 which was tagged subterranean_animism until I removed it. I wouldn't use the name of the games themselves as they would almost certainly get abused, but say something like sa_team or mof_team? Something along the lines of stakes_of_purgatory in that the tags would designate a specific group of characters.

I've considered this more than a few times myself (and actually add something to the filename when I save such images) but could never convince myself it was a good idea to go ahead and start using it as a tag. We would need to be really strict rules on when it could be used, and even then there's such a backlog of Touhou images to go back and tag.

I know what you mean. You'd think the simple solution would be to make the wiki entry really clear, but the kind of people to abuse the tags are the same ones who probably don't know the wiki even exists.
The backlog wouldn't be too much of a problem. Give me a month and I could work on it now and then when I'm bored, but mainly I just wanted to throw the idea out there.

Same that jxh2154. I like the idea but... I don't really know.
We have some group tags like team_9, so maybe adding the game group name to some images that include the characters from that game is not a bad idea.
Personally, if someone like to do this, I'm ok with that.

In this case, I think creating pools would be a better idea. Mainly to avoid the confusion.

The problem with that is that you add that big pool bar up top to like ten thousand images.
