accidentally flagged for deletion...

Stupid me has accidentally flagged post #109995 for deletion... I wanted to hit cancel but my hand + finger slipped. Could someone unflag it?

Yeah I had two browser windows open and compared both images there. Once I saw the tongue in that version, I wanted to cancel the reason... -_-;

Don't flag duplicates for deletion anyway. I thought I had a sticky for this posted... must have been unstickied when there got to be too many stickies.

While we're on the accidental flag for deletions....

I was clicking the screen so I could scroll up in the comments section and accidentally flagged Jue's comment for deletion.

While we're on the subject, there really should be a confirmation popup for flagging comments like there is for images. Accidental comment flagging happens way too often around here.

I agree on the subject of comment flagging. It just happened to me twice in a row for RaisingK's comment here: post #355622. The second time was during an attempt to scroll up to see if I could fix it. -_-

How much is the queue for flagged comments checked, anyway?

I almost never remember it exists.

Part of the problem is that 90% of the flagging is utterly frivolous and it's a pain in the ass to check every single comment thread to ascertain if it should really be deleted, then go back to the comment mod queue and re-approve the comment if it was okay. Deletion is easier because you can do it from the image itself.

I check it every fucking day.
But I'm tired of modding it because, like jxh2154 says, is a pain in the ass to check every stupid thing that people flag.
For god sake people, why the fuck do you flag comments from 2 years ago!?

Damn, I had no idea I could moderate comments too.

Have to keep in mind that it could very well have been an accidental flag.

He means stuff hasn't been flagged for it, not that it never happened.

Forgot to say is there a way to add that AND the confirmation popup for flagging comments.

Looks to me like several problems could be solved by having people enter a reason for flagging comments, like they do for images (and a 'cancel' button in that dialog, of course.)

I'd like to see that.

I must've suggested just that feature a couple times over by now, or at least it feels like it. That simple addition will change the comment mod queue from completely 100% useless to very useful.
