Theories being included in wiki entries about their subject

Posted under General

What is the consensus for putting theories in wiki articles?

I'm noticing some wiki entries for tags about specific copyright subjects have theories about their background included on them. This seems to go against a lot of wiki creation guidelines such as: "Do not be subjective or biased," "Be concise," and "Be relevant."

For example hakurei shrine lists a theory about it's origins.

I say be proactive and edit out irrelevant info when you see it. Many poorly written wiki entries exist simply because one guy added a bunch of junk and no one after bothered to clean it up.

Wiki entries need to tell you exactly three things: what the tag is, how it should be used, and what other tags are related. That's it. Leave other stuff up to outside wikis.

Clean them up. They should only refer to things that are factual (and only as a summary) and which help tagging. The spas-12 wiki is an example of what I'd consider important in a Danbooru wiki entry, especially once most of hr cruft was removed. Check tgr history to see what I mean.

The M16 entry is also acceptable... The M1911 one, not as much.
