The first one lacks the proper lighting to make the objects in the foreground not look flat, not to mention that Kotone looks like her upper body is too small compared to her lower body. As for the second one, that face just looks unflattering. Looks like a turn-off to a lot of the approvers here.

Surprised these two didn't get approved. Is there something particularly wrong with them?

Sexualized male-only pictures aren't very popular. I can't speak for the userbase, but I would hazard that most of us are heterosexual. For some reason yuri is popular in the het crowd, though in that case it's probably not that they're het, but that they're male and like females.

As for the quality of the art itself, it seems a little rough around the edges on a whole. Navel placement on the ab muscle is odd but not unthinkable given how flexible skin is. I'd say the picture also suffers from the thick line-age of the lineart not deviating much. This isn't noticeable when the lineart is very thin, but when it's thick like this it comes off as amateurish.

The strong value contrast of the dark outline the lineart makes with both the skin and background makes it stand out, which isn't something an artist usually desires, which is why in a lot of art you'll see artists coloring lineart to a slightly darker tone than whatever it encases.

I can tell you that these are common ailments among newer artists, I suffer from it as well. An example of my own similar mistakes. Just like I listed, samey line thickness and insufficient line blending make an image come off as subpar.

Perspective needs some work as well, and also in the future, you should rate images that clearly show a genital outline as questionable rather than safe.

I can see what you mean, even if it feels a bit pedantic to me (no offense meant, of course). ;) I'm no artist, so I guess I just have a habit of overlooking details if the content itself is enough to please me.

I'm new to uploading, and I uploaded about 30 Symphogear comics from yuta0115, eg:

I went to the upload appeal thread and posted, but then I noticed this thread which is more what I was looking for.

They're high quality, uploaded properly from pixiv with character and artist tags, and previous ones of the same type have been uploaded and enjoyed, as you can see from clicking on the artist. Did I need to put them in a pool? Add more comprehensive tags about the character types (the names are more important, I would argue)? Is it frowned upon to upload things in a transparent attempt to get them translated? I think the quality of the comics is high enough that that shouldn't be a concern. Any help?

My Little Pony doesn't appeal to a lot of the approvers here.

The first one seems fine. The second one appears to have too short a neck and the outlines are a bit too wiggly at points. Verniy in the third one looks like she has an abnormally long left long and the perspective on the admiral's arm is messed up. As for the fourth one, her arms and legs look a bit undersized compared to her torso.

I was directed here by a kind soul who gave me some feedback, and I was wondering what may be wrong with this particular image?

It does upon first glance look like the two characters are male (one of them is actually female based on the tags), so I'm wondering if that was why it got deleted in the first place?

It's kind of hard to tell what's going on at first glace. Is she carrying Naruto? Is Naruto floating in midair while she kisses him? And most of all, it looks like a mediocre screencap from the anime, just with more post VFX than usual.

Hmm... I can definitely see how some of those points can be valid.

Any tips as to avoid uploading things like this in the future? Should I just go with the mindset of 'if it looks like it is ripped from anime' it is a no-go? I'm still new, so it would be much appreciated!
