Ironically enough, my older brother (who is married to a Japanese woman) accuses the Japanese of drowning their food in BBQ sauce even when it doesn't make sense.

Is your brother European? If yes, I can understand his feelings.

European food is tasty enough without being drowned in whole shitload of weird sauce. Only insipid food deserve the feared "BBQ SAUCE" punishment.

    EH!?
The first culture shock since our marriage.
    How do you use this?
    You alright?
And this coming from a person who belongs to a country that boils fish.
When we moved to our present home.
    Ooooh! How magnificent!
    Are you serious?
Actually, today is my first time making grilled fish.
    The spicy variety.
    Dressing.
Dressing over the flavor from the open grilled fish.
    Eh? Is anything wrong?
    Finally! They came out nicely!!
