If the next Halo game features survival game against waves of Flood using different characters aside from the SPARTANs, ODSTs, Elites and Brutes (can you play as one?), I will cry manly tears.

odst: k me and the grunt got the hundred on the left you and the brute take the hundred on the right.

elite: may we take many of the enemy with us and die gloriously my friends.

Grunt:But I don't wanna die!

brute: Come on you nightmares i shall strike you all down!

That's a pretty nice perspective, all things considered.

Personally I think if Halo 4 has a mode like this I may in fact buy it. I want a Firefight Match where you play four different races that all have their strengths and weaknesses. It is all fine and dandy to play as a Spartan but that is just a one trick pony.

I in fact want to be the Grunt showing a Brute how it is done...before being Grunt Punted across the map with two Stickies in each hand into a horde of Flood.

...You know...that would be freaking awesome to see.

You could also scale the number of lives each class gets, an their respawn times, to balance it.

Just for your information Halo 4 will have a mode called the flood!
