Fragments of sentences are dangerous. "Front toward enemy" either means "this is the front, aim it towards the enemy", or "make sure you aim the front towards the enemy" which would be a reasonable thing to put on the back of the object. (But as soon as you see the other side has BACK on it, you should be able to figure the correct version out)
