Typically, translators paraphrase the original text when doing so allows them to replace an awkward wording with something that sounds more natural. I don't see how "You are suffocating me!" is supposed to be an improvement over "I can't breathe!".

When hair has an ambiguous color like this is it okay to tag it with two colors like I did?

Well, I'd think "You're" would be used, but the difference in who's doing what is a bit of a point to my mind.
