But the thing is that Beethoven lost his hearing, but he wasn't born without it. He knew what the different notes sound like, and he could imagine the music in his head. Someone who's born deaf and thus has never heard music to begin with probably would be able to do that, since sound would be a completely abstract concept to them.
Also, you people take Konflikti's trolling too seriously.
Seriously, though, you can figure out how to pluck a string visually, and can learn which ones to pluck from a book, and get feedback from others hearing you play. As that all-deaf band link proves, it's not impossible to learn to play an instrument while deaf.
