A Freelance soldier who hails from the only globally agreed neutral territory, the Hakurei Shrine. She aligns with no aside, unless they can afford her exorbitant "Shrine Donations." While being surly and disrespectful, Hakurei Reimu also deals with all sides who come to her equally, thus earning respect from anyone who talks with her.
Paradoxically, Hakurei Reimu arbores bloodshed and has always refused the use of firearms, considering them to be signs of cowardice. She always walks into battle with a single one handed sword and the Ancestral Ying-Yang orbs at her side. To further her personal belief in blood begetting blood, the sword she carries is blunt, being nothing more then a sword shaped baton. Though that does not detract from her strength while deployed on the field of battle.
But perhaps the one thing that makes her so sought after by all sides are her various abilities. Normally being a Shinto priestess by trade, Hakurei Reimu is able to channel through her being the power of the many many gods, though this power is actually limited due to her being under trained. She is skilled in the use of Barrier class Onmyodo and can deploy both offensive and defensive screens of various strengths and purposes. But the one ability that makes her services so sought after is her self taught ability to Levitate.
Though it sounds simple, scholars have all agreed that Hakurei Reimu's personal version of levitation is inherently superior to the sundry flight spells all other humans and Yokai use. Hakurei Reimu's version actually forces her presence in reality to detach, and as such, she is not subject to the laws of this world. The basic effect is that gravity no longer has an effect her, thus allowing flight. But, if she channeled enough power into her flight, she would in fact become a being apart from the world, rendering herself untouchable by any means known, as a side effect, Hakurei Reimu's body becomes Translucent, which seems to be symbolic of her ability since otherwise she is still able to interact with things and people.
Assembled battle data shows that this one lone woman is a force not unlike an entire battalion, and as such she should be avoided at all costs. She appears to have taught herself swordsmanship and as such isn't as disciplined as others, but that doesn't change much. She is also the only person so far seen who has mastered the ability to make Danmaku track targets over vast distances.
