So guys, is there something related to rumia happening today/this week or month, like rumia day or something? Because I am seeing quite a lot of images with her.

It's always the same, on the 7th of each month (Rumia day)
On the 9th you get extra Cirno Pics.

Wouldn't it make more sense if extra Rumia pictures were posted every 10th day of the month? I think I missed something.

Well, I don't recall it exactly, but "the 7th" in japanese sounds like her catch phrase, so it all started as a pun of sorts.

七日 is apparently pronounced as 'nano ka' so with Rumia's catchphrase being "sou nano ka~" this became the meme.

Similar examples include July 16 being Alice's day. Alice is the doll user of seven colors(七色) which is read nana iro -> nana i ro -> 7 1 6 -> July 16th.

Pardon my grim nature, but I think he's very shortly going to pull back stumps instead of fingers.
