I thought Naoya and Tatsuya were more popular...I mean they can't have 6 girlfriends but just talking to npc females its obvious how popular they are.

But then again, considering his somewhat effeminate appearance and alternating between bad boy and suave prince antics I can see why he would be.

Nope, always saw him that way. It always amused me for no really good reason, but I enjoyed it.
