Without explaining why, I sleep with things under my legs and your leg can indeed bend that way. Just twist it a little and you can move from your hip to thigh away from your body and from knee to foot back towards your body.

Her knee is twisted over 90 degrees and the lower half of her leg is bending by appearances upwards. It might be an optical illusion but it sure does not look right.
