I wouldn't be surprised if that's one of those "pretty much only girls can do it" things, related to how many girls can bend their elbows a decent distance past straight before they lock.

You just put your palms together behind your back, it doesn't require any strange elbow bending, just a bit of shoulder rotation.

Well, sure, except you have to have the range to do it. Which I certainly don't. And the elbow thing isn't strange (like I said, most girls can do it), it's just even more range. :P
