I realize this to be the case. The last panel stating "He" made me think otherwise at first but maybe a revision of translation of it or it could be Kinoshita with longer hair getting scolded (Doubt it)

Uh, I translated this, but there wasn't written anything about his/her gender. I wrote "he" for no good reasons, I'm sorry.

Don't know about the person him/herself, but the Shino character at least is known to be technically female.

Ahh Shino. Female in that awesome self-insert fic/comic. Questionable gender elsewhere.
