Oh, come on. The least you could do with your puny existence is to provide some research material for SCIENCE!

Or if you ask her to help you out with a problem, or teach you her methods. Then you're literary asking for a slow, painful death or having all your limbs replaced with turtles or something.
All in the name of love, science and the good of mankind, of course.
Fran's intentions are always good, she's deeply motivated to help people and she has a surprisingly naive sense of romance. The problem is mainly that she has no concept of going too far, or the ability to judge when cheating death just wouldn't be worth it. She will save your life at any cost, even if it means putting your brain inside a teddybear and connecting it to the body of a little girl. You will live a life of torment and madness, but the important thing is you will be alive. Also, she often doesn't know when to say no. She does whatever her client requested, and lets him or her deal with the ironic consequences.

Yup, and also short science fiction and/or horror stories in general. Since science fiction (and especially sci-fi horror) is mainly about social commentary, ironic fates are almost mandatory.
