Technically "troutslapping" doesn't actually require the fish being used to be a trout (if urban dictionary is to be believed).

The main point is, they are firing a fish out of a mortar. And that is awesome.

I believe the Geneva Protocol separately forbids sending surströmming to the enemy camp as the worst sort of atrocity. What kind of terrible circumstances could have driven Eila and Sanya to resort to such desperate measures? Even the Neuroi don't deserve that!

Also the mortar seems to resemble the current one in FDF a lot. Guess Eila brought the gear.
