Comartemis, if you pay attention to the comments in post #199225 you'll see that the photograph came first, and the drawing was later based on it. You'll also notice that there's a similar drawing of Osaka based on that photograph drawn by Ragathol (which I can't find right now because some asshole went and deleted all of Ragathol's art from danbooru).

There is some asian girl who has a lock of hair hanging on her face in one picture. Imagine that.

And if you check 'Commissions' on Speh's website, you'll notice that he says the picture is "based on an ungodly cosplay", and links to this same picture.

This is a generic gravure photo that's been floating around forever. Someone just grabbed the nth repost off 4chan or some other board (note the file name), thought it looked kind of like Rukia, and had a crappy artist draw a cartoon of his interpretation. So what?

First off, having hung around Deviant Art for a couple of years, I've seen plenty of crappy art and the image in question is anything but.

Secondly, your claims as to the pic's origins are severely lacking in the evidence department. Until I see solid proof that this is *not* a Rukia cosplayer, I will continue to regard it as such.

To add to the arguments before, notice how everything (right down to the tiny items in the bathroom) are nearly identical in the piece of fanart? Also, this photo has almost certainly been altered to look more like Rukia because the fanart counterpart became so popular. That lock of hair definitely does not look natural. I don't think anything else has been touched, though.
