No. In Gundam, only the animation is truly official. Everything else is in a vague limbo so long as it doesn't go against the show. Given that the movie doesn't end that way, it's not official in the slightest.

Besides, I'm skeptical of Zazaza29's claim. Manga adaptations tend to take liberties, but that goes beyond the pale.

I never said it was canon. I just mentioned that in the manga adaptation, it can be taken that they ended up together. And you can't deny that the last scene had them in wedding clothes, even though it seems iffy that Setsuna makes her young again with questionable ELS! skillz. Symbolic wedding or not, in the end it's still romantic.
