    True, and for good reason. Nevertheless, ZUN did make it clear that Rinnosuke isn't ZUN's self-insert, and that what Rinnosuke says during Curiosities of Lotus Asia is Rinnosuke's opinions and shouldn't be taken to be representing ZUN's words or canon.

    In fact I'm glad it's the case, because I started disliking Rinnosuke after reading CoLA. (I used to like him before that.)

    But one of his theories is confirmed in Ten Desires.
    The Saint's mausoleum was transported to Gensoukyou due to Shoutoku becoming a legend.

    btw, I like him because he's much of a theorist, representing fandom as a speculation maker.

    Not that he'd necessarily be wrong always. It's just that his views and speculations don't need to be taken too seriously and he (like Akyuu) doesn't represent ZUN's official statements. Of course his theories can be correct.
