While you may be true, it's probably both. That EASILY COULD have been Nazrin. And I don't know if she'd've survived that all that easily.

For other part the fact than Shou was in the end of that hit was because Nazrim cowardice and lack of taking the enemy seriously, so from a certain point of view she is the caused her master was hurt and could be worst without Hijiri warning

Byakuren's expression at the end reminds me of Dragon Ball Z Abridged where Goku was all skitty like a school girl about how evil and powerful Freeza was. Byakuren looks like she is happy too, to get to fight such a strong opponent.
