Just to clarify seabook's translation a bit - "The last command he received before losing his thoughts" refers to the last command his conscious mind issued to his body (or lower motor control subsystems of the brain, I guess).

So it continues to walk because the "stop walking command" can no longer reach his limbs, or because the distance between the neurons in his brain makes it impossible for him to think "stop walking"?

This. Bodily commands jumping the synapse to reach other neurons is kind of like a lightning bolt. They're extremely fast, but can only reach so far before it becomes ineffective.

I love this dragon's design, aswell as the artist's description. So sad o_o
