Mmm, I always saw her as a bit more of a rebel/"yankee" more so than the stoic "walk the earth" type. But it's all up to the fan, in the end. Now Yuuka would fit the latter better, though her, ah, stoicism has serious flaws...

I'm kinda surprised she didnt buy a helmet with holes in it. In a fantasy land like this, there'd be a market for Hole horn Helmets and hands.

If necessary she could take a hole saw to that helmet and make it fit.
But Ex-Keine doesn't really need a helmet just ask anyone she headbutted.

I'd imagine it would still hurt like hell though. Immortality does not equal pain immunity.

When you crash on a bike and are immortal but still sensitive to pain, head is the last part of your body to be worried about. Because if you fuck up your torso pretty bad, but stay conscious due to the head protection, everything will suck a damn lot until you regenerate. On the other side, if you hit your head and lose consciousness, you wake up fully regenerated and everything is nice and dandy.

Helmets do more than to protect the head. It parries the wind, keeps the head warm and looks cool.

Well, actually, according to close to the beginning of this story, we have a good look at Gensokoumuten's "modern" Gensoukyou, and everything actually seems be encircling the SDM, and considering the events that just occurred there, I would say that it's safe to assume that that is the hill with the SDM and an exploding Flan, these are simply the event happening as she's going bonkers. At least that's my take on the situation.
