I think this is a fundamental difference between China and Sanae.

China is active: She invoked the power of the sky and the earth, drawing it into her strike for her own power.

Sanae is passive: She invoked her god to create a miracle without doing anything special on her own.

Somehow, I think Sanae learned the wrong lesson here. She better hurry too, since her Gods aren't doing much better on the common sense line either...
